Authorship Criteria

As per ICMJE guidelines, the authorship should be based on the following criteria.

  1. Substantial contributions to conception and design, or acquisition of data, or analysis & interpretation of data.
  2. Drafting the article or revising it critically for important intellectual content.
  3. Final approval of the version to be published.
  • All those who meet the above three conditions are eligible to be included as Authors in the manuscript.
  • Agreement to be accountable for all aspects of the work in ensuring that questions related to the accuracy or integrity of any part of the work are appropriately investigated and resolved. When a large multicenter group has conducted the work, the group should identify the individuals who accept direct responsibility for the manuscript. These individuals should fully meet the criteria for authorship/contributor ship defined above. Acquisition of funding, data collection, and general supervision of the research group does not qualify anyone to be an author. All contributors who do not meet the criteria for authorship should be listed in the acknowledgement section.
